VISION wants to grow further
Promising start to registrations: An even better event is to follow the most successful VISION - Focus on system integration
It was the best VISION of all times: 323 exhibitors and more than 6,700 visitors from approximately 60 countries came to Stuttgart in 2010. A record result for VISION 2010, which for the first time exceeded the 300 mark for exhibitors. This upward trend is also set to continue for VISION 2011, which is taking place once again in Stuttgart from 8 - 10 November. "The current registration figures are promising and suggest that the recovery in the economy and the machine vision industry will also have an impact on VISION", states Florian Niethammer, Project Manager for VISION, with confidence. "I expect this year we will once again surpass the excellent result of VISION 2010, both in exhibitor and visitor figures."
The international trade fair for machine vision has become over the 24 years of its existence the undisputed leading global trade fair. The key players in the industry meet once a year at VISION. On over 20,000 square meters of exhibition space in trade fair halls 4 and 6, the entire spectrum of components, complete systems and innovative solutions from the machine vision industry will once again be showcased. This primarily includes cameras, sensors, frame grabbers, illumination, laser, optics, lenses, software, and service offerings.
The interest in complete solutions has risen significantly. Almost every fourth visitor was on the search for turnkey machine vision systems, according to the visitor survey results of the last VISION. Approximately 25 percent of visitors also classified themselves as end users. In order to cope with this demand, VISION 2011 will set up three areas for this customer base: the integration area as a platform for system integrators and solution providers; the application park which presents practical handling, automation, packaging and labeling applications, as well as the user seminars for the practical communication of machine vision know-how.
Young, innovative companies from Germany are also coming to VISION 2011 thanks to the sponsorship of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWi). The BMWi is represented with a group stand and assumes 80% of the trade fair costs of the young companies. Foreign exhibitors who have never before been present at VISION, have a renewed opportunity to get to know the trade fair and present their innovative products and services on an "International Pavilion" set up especially for them.
As part of the framework program the Industrial VISION Days with its range of daily presentations plays a key role as an indispensable information platform for visitors. The scope of the presentations ranges from the latest developments to user presentations. VDMA Machine Vision, who is also a professional and conceptual supporter of VISION, guarantees the professional quality of Industrial VISION Days. The VISION Award has also made a name for itself and will be presented for the 19th time. This award recognizes excellent machine vision solutions.
VISION has already been receiving wide support from the international associations European Machine Vision Association (EMVA), Automated Imaging Association (AIA) and the Japan Industrial Imaging Association (JIIA), who together with Messe Stuttgart, are promoting the international character of the leading global trade fair.
