OnLogic Launch AI Consulting Service, Expand Edge AI Hardware Capabilities

OnLogic Artificial Intelligence advisors help businesses identify the most efficient path to realizing value from AI-powered solutions, and assist with AI adoption and deployment.

SOUTH BURLINGTON, VT (August 07, 2024) To help businesses take Artificial Intelligence (AI) from promise to practice, industrial computer specialists OnLogic (www.onlogic.com) have launched a new AI consulting service. The company's AI experts work closely with customers to assess the potential business benefits of AI and advise them throughout solution development and implementation.

OnLogic, along with a growing list of partners who also specialize in AI solutions, can help customers identify and architect the right-fit hardware, software, and AI implementation options for their specific needs.

"We've heard from customers that they see real business value in implementing AI solutions, but they're often not sure where to start. Insights from a trusted advisor can help them pull the pieces together," said Michael Kleiner, VP of Edge AI Solutions at OnLogic. "Talking directly with customers about their technology challenges has always been core to the way we approach industrial computing, so providing an AI-specific consulting service is a natural next step."

To support edge AI deployments, OnLogic has also added new AI acceleration hardware options to their line of industrial and rugged computing solutions. Select OnLogic systems can now be configured with new Intel® graphics processing units (GPUs) from the chip maker's Arc and Flex GPU lines. Some OnLogic systems are also now available with the Hailo-8 AI acceleration module from AI processor specialists, Hailo.

"The timing couldn't be better with so many interesting products hitting the market to help enable AI adoption. These new technologies from Intel and Hailo give users more acceleration options for machine learning, visual inspection, advanced robotics, and other AI-powered automation solutions," Kleiner said.

The OnLogic Karbon 800 Series of rugged systems can now be configured with Intel ARC A40, A50, or A60 GPUs. The company's Axial AC101 Edge Server is now available with Intel ARC A40 and A60 GPUs, with plans to add the Intel Flex 140 and 170 GPUs as configurable options soon.

Combined with advanced integrated graphics capabilities, and paired with Intel OpenVINO Inference Modes, OnLogic's hardware can be used for everything from light AI inferencing to full-scale model building and training. By helping users implement AI acceleration at the edge, OnLogic's updated hardware unlocks the potential to deploy AI computing power in remote locations and challenging environmental conditions, reducing latency and improving data security over traditional cloud-based AI architectures.

OnLogic AI advisors can assist users with leveraging machine learning, computer vision and conversational AI to improve the quality, efficiency, velocity and safety of operations. Regardless of where a particular business is on their AI journey, OnLogic works to identify and implement the best application of AI for their desired outcomes, specifically tailored to their operations. The OnLogic team can assist in creating a proof of concept, attaining commercial deployment, and implementing ongoing training, monitoring, and maintenance.

"The one thing that every AI project has in common is a unique set of requirements and hardware needs," said OnLogic Solution Architect Ross Hamilton. "We've worked closely with our customers, and other innovators like Intel, to identify solutions that provide the required power and performance for AI workloads, and can also be customized to the exact needs of the user. AI doesn't have to be all or nothing; with the right pieces in place it can be used to bolster existing systems and add new functionality without having to rip and replace equipment or infrastructure."
