OpenConnect,, a leader in software solutions that deliver efficiencies derived from objective workforce intelligence, analytics, and robotic process automation (RPA), has announced the introduction of AutoiQ™, the latest generation of its RPA solution.
Robotic process automation uses software robots to perform tasks vastly more quickly, more efficiently, and more accurately than humans. It is a particularly good fit for the back-office processes, such as those employed by healthcare insurers, which OpenConnect specializes in analyzing and processing for its customers. (In fact, an optional Claims Module which "understands" the claims auto-adjudication process makes an OpenConnect solution even better for healthcare insurers.) However, RPA solutions vary in approach, speed, effectiveness, and overall value. AutoiQ offers a variety of benefits, particularly in comparison to other RPA offerings from the competition:
AutoiQ is server-based — The OpenConnect approach to RPA puts the software robots on one or more servers, rather than on individual PCs. This gives AutoiQ vastly superior speed, enables its robots to share rules and logic from a single source, and provides nearly infinite scalability.
AutoiQ achieves unmatched mainframe connectivity and data access — This is a key, and unique, AutoiQ advantage. Another automation product would communicate with a companys mainframe via an emulator, using outdated techniques that introduce inaccuracy and have only limited scalability. By comparison, AutoiQ needs no emulator because it natively and seamlessly communicates with the mainframe, capturing every bit of data required. Indeed, AutoiQ accesses all processes with which it comes in contact — whether desktop-based, server-based, or mainframe-based — through their native interfaces.
AutoiQ handles all levels of complexity — While many RPA solutions can take over only the most mundane tasks, an enterprise with AutoiQ can automate processes along a continuum of complexity, from the simplest to the most intricate.
AutoiQ provides "five-nines" availability — Although AutoiQ is a new product, its architecture and features benefit from the decade-plus of experience that OpenConnect has had in putting RPA to work for global enterprises, during which OpenConnect"s automation solutions have operated with 99.999% uptime.
"There are numerous companies offering process automation software, but OpenConnect long ago solved the limitations that our competitors are just now encountering, while weve moved on to provide even greater value in products such as AutoiQ," said Mark Dailey, OpenConnects Chief Executive Officer. "We look forward to putting it to work for our customers now and in the future."
"From our conversations with companies around the world, we know that enterprises seek a solution that can automate tasks of varying complexity as quickly as possible, while interacting at maximum efficiency with devices from the desktop to the mainframe," said Kevin Culliton, OpenConnects Vice President of Product Management. "AutoiQ is that solution."
Availability and pricing
AutoiQ is available immediately on a limited basis, and will be generally available in the third quarter of 2016. Pricing will vary, depending on specific customer configuration needs.
