Rapid Imaging Software, Inc. introduced the Powered By SmartCam3D partnership program. This program allows participating organizations to integrate augmented reality software and license it for re-sale.
Augmented reality (AR) is 3D map data or other geographic information blended on live or recorded video. AR is the ultimate situational awareness tool. It conveys location data quickly and accurately expanding the ability of the user to make effective decisions.
Global demand for AR technology is forecast to grow dramatically over the next five years. "This technology is mature and we can integrate quickly to save our partners years of development time," noted David Geisler, Vice President of Operations.
Powered By SmartCam3D works with full motion video (FMV) captured with manned or unmanned systems (UAVS and sUAVS). The software is optimized for touch sensitive displays and works with: wearables, tablets, smart phones and other hardware options.
