FANUC America Highlights RAMTEC's Certified Training Programs for Robots and CNC Automation

RAMTECs mission is to increase the number of skilled laborers to fill the hundreds of thousands of available jobs in the U.S. by providing the technical training required by business and industry.

ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich., April 21, 2015 - FANUC America Corporation released a new YouTube video about RAMTECs certified robotics and CNC education program dedicated to helping create the next-generation workforce. RAMTEC, which stands for Robotics Advanced Manufacturing Technology Education Collaborative, uses FANUC industrial robots, CNCs and ROBODRILLs to technically train students for high-skilled careers.

RAMTECs mission is to increase the number of skilled laborers to fill the hundreds of thousands of available jobs in the U.S. by providing the technical training required by business and industry. Based in Marion, Ohio at the Tri-Rivers Career Center (TRCC), RAMTEC offers adult, college and high school students the opportunity to work hands-on with the latest automation on the market. Upon completion of the program, students become certified which opens the doors for continuing education or immediate employment in advanced manufacturing.

According to Chuck Speelman, superintendent of TRCC and RAMTEC, students are provided the opportunity to attract potential employers offering competitive salaries. "Its exciting for our students to have companies and universities recruiting them as soon as they complete our program."

"We collaborate with education centers like RAMTEC to encourage the development of innovative curriculums based on todays industry needs," said Paul Aiello, director, FANUC Certified Education Training (CERT). "Companies are then able to hire locally trained students that have advanced automation skills."

"We look forward to expanding the RAMTEC concept throughout the state with additional technical training facilities," said Speelman. "Manufacturing is part of Americas future, and were excited to be a part of it."
