QinetiQ North America Wins Two Federal Rail Research ID/IQ Contracts
Both contracts call for indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity task order services, where task orders are established as research requirements are defined.
Reston, VA- QinetiQ North America (QNA) today announced the award of two contracts from the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) Office of Research and Development to provide research, development, test and evaluation services. These technical assistance contracts continue the partnership of FRA and QNA on rail safety programs that began in 1996.
Both contracts call for indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity task order services, where task orders are established as research requirements are defined. Topic areas in the first contract include rail transportation of hazardous materials, safety management systems, track-train interaction, railroad vehicles, non-electric power and components, and program evaluation. The second contract is focused on human factors. Topic areas include safety management systems, program evaluation, passenger and freight rail operations, human systems integration and advanced rail systems technology.
