iRobot introduces new Scooba Floor Washing Robots
Expands global home robots portfolio on four continents
iRobot Corp., a leader in delivering robotic technology-based solutions, today announced the expansion of its line of Scooba Floor Washing Robots. iRobot is introducing the compact Scooba 230 to markets in EMEA ( Europe , Middle East , Africa ) and Latin America and is also refreshing the popular Scooba 300 series worldwide.
"The international expansion of Scooba is evidence of the growing demand for iRobot's home robots," said Marc Dinee, general manager of iRobot's Home Robots business unit. "As a worldwide leader in automated home maintenance and floor care, iRobot continues to design and build new robots for the global market."
Scooba Floor Washing Robots: A better way to clean.
Unlike mops and cleaning pads, Scooba robots use only clean solution to wash the floor, never dirty water.
All Scooba robots:
-Clean tile, linoleum and sealed hardwood floors
-Use iAdapt™ Responsive Cleaning technology to ensure effective cleaning and thorough floor coverage
-Include Virtual Wall® barriers that keep the robot in the room to be cleaned
-Avoid cliffs and drop-offs
-Clean with Scooba Hard Floor Cleaner
Scooba 390: The premiere floor washing robot for larger rooms keeps getting better.
The new iRobot Scooba 390 includes the most advanced technology and latest features of the Scooba 300 series, including a simplified design and Extended Power Life Management for 30 percent longer battery life. Using a four-stage cleaning process, Scooba 390 preps, washes, scrubs and squeegees the floor to get rid of dirt and bacteria. There's no sweeping required! Scooba 390 covers up to 450 square feet per cleaning.
Scooba 230: The world's most compact floor washing robot goes on sale in more countries.
The innovative Scooba 230 was developed to meet the need for a robot that cleans tight, hard-to-reach spaces in bathrooms and kitchens, including around the toilet and under cabinets. At 3.5 inches tall and 6.5 inches in diameter, Scooba is ideal for cleaning in small spaces. Scooba 230 uses an advanced active-reservoir design to keep the cleaning solution and dirty water separate inside such a small robot. Using a three-stage cleaning process, Scooba 230 washes, scrubs and squeegees the floor to get rid of dirt and bacteria. The robot's removable bottom plate makes maintenance fast and easy. Scooba 230 covers up to 150 square feet per cleaning.
Scooba 390 is available in the United States at www.irobot.com. International models of the Scooba floor washing robots will be available online and from select retailers in EMEA and Latin America starting in April, and in the United Kingdom this summer.
