JOT Automation Inc. Moves U.S. Headquarters to San Diego

Exhibiting at first U.S. trade shows, Medical Design & Manufacturing West and APEX, in February

JOT Automation Inc., a global automation company, announced today that it has moved its corporate headquarters for the U.S. to San Diego in the heart of Sorrento Valley. The team is led by Stefan Adolfsson, CEO of the Americas, and services the Americas from Canada to Latin America. Joining Adolfsson is an experienced sales and technical force located in Canada, the U.S., Mexico and Brazil. The team in San Diego will be expanding as it transitions manufacturing capabilities to the San Diego area in 2012.


"Building on the success of JOT Automation in countries all over the world and in the U.S. since 1995, the team's new focus in the Americas will start in the San Diego life science community," said Adolfsson. "We have the opportunity here to tap into strong technology and life science sectors, and set the bar for automation and quality control innovation throughout the Americas."

JOT Automation has a long history in delivering solutions for the manufacturing of electronics. Today,
JOT Automation services the telecom, automotive, aerospace and life sciences industries. In life sciences, JOT surpasses current manufacturing processes in the design and production of disposable diagnostic medical devices and handheld readers.

Adolfsson is a 30-year veteran of engineering and entrepreneurship with technical expertise including robotic automation, production and technology innovation. Prior to joining JOT Automation, he was president of AD Pack/Norden, a Swedish company where he established operations in Mexico and the U.S. In Sweden he helped pioneer mechanical handling and robotics at SAAB automotive. He has worked in San Diego since 2003 as director of R&D engineering for local biotech companies Inverness Medical, now Alere, and Accumetrics.

Diagnostic and Defense Technology Analysts (DTA), a San Diego-based provider of commercialization and business development support, introduced JOT Automation to the San Diego area.
